Hello everyone! I thought I would share some more writing prompts with you today, but this time they would be fantasy-related! This week has been so crazy, that I realized that I completely forgot to create an update OR a roundup last month. So enjoy this writing inspiration instead!
As always, I came up with these ideas without any outside help, but if anything resembles prompts or stories you’ve seen before or even one of your own stories, that was purely a coincidence and wasn’t intentional at all.

1. A woman casually walks down a street in her hometown, only to see a magic portal open and a wizard step out of it.
2. In a world where animals and humans speak, several animal leaders come forward and explain that an ancient prophecy from the Animal Kingdom is about to come true.
3. A ship full of magnificent treasures must reach a nearby kingdom before it’s too late.
4. A group of stars appear in a certain pattern, foretelling an ancient curse is about to come true.
5. A princess wakes up one day and discovers that dragons have invaded.
6. The last ten dragons left in the world decide it’s time to gather for council one last time so that they can distribute their wealth to whoever they believe deserves it.
7. When a family moves into an old house, a young boy discovers a group of trolls living in the basement, but no one else can see them.
8. The world wakes up one day to discover the trees have come to life.
9. A group of wizards decides to attack the totalitarian kingdom that keeps undermining them.
10. Deep underground, a dangerous dragon thought to have died suddenly awakens.
11. A girl starts learning witchcraft, but she’s not happy when she finds that she has a knack for necromancy.
12. When a wizard appears and explains she’s the Chosen One, an old woman does everything she can to avoid the responsibility.
13. A girl tries to break a family curse that causes everyone in her family to rapidly age and die after they turn 30.
14. A village in ancient China discovers a litter of abandoned dragons in the nearby mountain.
15. In the streets of New York City, the fairies are ready to take back their land.
16. A select group of people in a faraway kingdom are chosen as the perfect soldiers for killing a dragon. The only problem is they’re forced to fight each other to gain the position.
17. A mythological creature (what mythology you enjoy!) suddenly appears in the protagonist’s hometown.
18. A group of friends out camping discovers an ancient sword buried near their campsite.
19. A retiring wizard is given one last mission – to track down three different Chosen Ones.
20. A witch is forced to move into the suburbs, along with dozens of other mythical creatures.
