5 Hard Sci-fi Books on my TBR

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another TBR post. (Yes, I thought I would make more than one this month, especially since it’s a new year. And besides, these posts are always enjoyable to write. I wanted to share some hard sci-fi books that are on my SF/F TBR list! Check them out below.

I mentioned this in my last TBR post, but I thought I would bring it up again. The story centers around Louis Wu and a gigantic ring that was constructed by aliens.

I had heard about the movie for this one, but I was interested in reading the book because it was hard sci-fi. It tells the story of contact between humans and aliens, and I heard it was a pretty realistic depiction of what it could be like to meet aliens.

This book has a lot to do with the three-body problem in physics, which I started researching because it looked so interesting. In this story, Earth encounters a group of aliens, which exists in a part of space where the three-body problem exists.

I’ve read a few stories by Isaac Asimov, including Bicentennial Man and Robot Dreams. I also heard that this included several short stories on top of a trilogy of novels, but I think I’ll be able to start with the first book from 1951. This centers around an actual Foundation built to preserve the history of a galactic civilization.

I recently found a copy of this story at a second-hand bookstore! It centers around Andrew, or “Ender,” who is trained as a young child through war games to fight insect-like aliens.
