July has come to a close, and that means another update! I’ve got plenty of announcements from the past few weeks I’m delighted to share. For starters, I’ve been working on a lot of different updates for this blog, so you should be seeing a new portfolio and landing page hopefully within the next month. In the meantime, here’s my updated homepage. Next up on the July update is a recent post of mine.
A lot has happened this past month, including the awesome news that my latest chapbook was just announced with Ghost City Press! If you haven’t seen it, check out the post below.
This chapbook is available for FREE at Ghost City Press and also here on the blog!
Besides continuing to work on my novel and short stories (plus the looming threat of my graduate dissertation, which I’ll be honest I’m still mentally preparing for) I also had the opportunity to join the 3rd Annual Online NU Summer Writers’ Conference with Northwestern University!

This virtual conference included a ton of amazing lectures by writers and other professionals. The conference passed already because it was this month, but if you want more information on what the conference is like for next year, here’s a link to the website.
This month I’ll actually be participating in the Blackacre writing residency as well! This poetry residency takes place August 25th-26th. Submissions are rolling, so there’s still time to apply if you find it interesting!
Here’s the info about submitting through Submittable, which includes other opportunities from them throughout the year. (I might even make another post about residencies with all the opportunities available out there!).
Another announcement!
On the 18th of this month a guest post of mine will be going out from A Writer’s Path. I’ll be sure to announce it, so be on the look out!
Here are a couple reblogs from them I posted!
